I thought it would be great if people wore masks after it was no longer required. In Asia, people wear masks when they get sick to protect others. We could have had the same thing. In 2019, when I was in a mental institution, I had to wear a mask when I got sick. I couldn't get out of my room without a mask and ate in my room. When I left that room, they disinfected it very well (walls, furniture and floor).

I would really like it if every TV series had a website with every episode. As an example, I made my own for three series : http://www.lapetitevie.net/ http://www.lecoeurasesraisons.net/ http://www.doctorwho2005.net/ The way I see it, everyone got paid when the series aired. After that, every episode should be available for free. Putting them on a website also makes it possible to download the episodes. So when the series become unavailable, the episodes still exist.

I just applied the same CSS stylesheet to my entire website. I put an Alias in my httpd.conf so that every domain uses the same folder. This way, I can change the stylesheet in one place and have it applied everywhere. I also made sure I had a DOCTYPE everywhere. (I didn't have a doctype before because it made the first <h1> closer to the top)

We added a pair of switches to our furnace. The top one controls the green fan which pulls outside air in through the open windows (the fan is in the basement and exhausts the air through an old chimney) The bottom one controls the furnace's fan which we keep running 24/7. This makes it easier to turn off the green fan for the winter. (The green fan is controlled by the thermostat)

The tag works with IE 5+ (from the 90s). IE wanted to support people who didn't use quotes in their <meta> tag. Like this : <meta http-equiv=content-type content=text/html; charset=utf-8> As you can see, the charset is on the <meta> tag instead of being in the content="" attribute. My guess is that IE looks for a charset="" attribute and uses it if found. Otherwise it goes down the http-equiv="" path. I'm pretty sure HTML5 chose the <meta charset> because it is already compatible with very old browsers.

I wished <textarea> was a block element, not an inline one like it is right now. The way I see it, <pre> should be for display and <textarea> should be for editing.

We just received the 2 TB USB key we bought on Amazon. I plugged it into my server to host the many gigabytes of english lesson DVDs for my mom. I tried to format it in ext4 on linux, but failed. I then formatted it as exfat on my iMac and succeeded.
I made a domain so that she can watch them on her iPad.

Yesterday, I made a PHP webpage that allows me to mount and unmount the 2 TB USB key we received. That way I don't have to SSH into my server to unmount the key, I just have to visit the page on my iPhone. I unplug the key so that my dad can put the mp4 episodes (of my mom's english lessons) on it with his Windows 10 laptop. My dad's laptop is incredibly slow, which is why I prefer doing the transfer through USB than through SMB.

I just uploaded No Sugar, Sugar (Season 2, Episode 30). (I found it on YouTube) It was never aired in the US because it was wrong about diabetes. The quality is extremely poor (and zoomed-in), the sound is high-pitched and the video was horizontally flipped (I fixed that last one with ffmpeg).
